O Litoral Norte da Bahia é sem dúvidas um "tesouro" para os estrangeiros. O importante é saber quando a população e, principalmente, o setor público vai começar a freiar o processo de ocupação turística e imobiliária por partes dos gringos.

É bom lembrar os fatores positivos do desenvolvimento, mas este, sem dúvidas, deve ser melhor planejado. "Abrir as pernas" é uma atitude comum do Governo Brasileiro e por isso perdemos muito de nossas riquezas.

Presta atenção em alguns trechos da matéria publicada no Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.

"Greater Salvador in the northeastern Brazilian state of Bahia has experienced a dramatic boom in tourism-related real estate activity over the past year. While European investors have taken the lead over their US counterparts, there is still a tremendous amount of untapped potential for new investments in the sector."

"More than 95% of completed and planned development at Costa dos Coqueiros by foreign investors is coming from Spain and Portugal. US investors are noticeably absent from the region. Given the destination’s tremendous potential and the recent spate of activity by European investors, why has US capital remained conspicuously absent?" (Lá vem eles!)

"The Costa dos Coqueiros still holds great potential for real estate investment. Of the 120 miles of coastline, only about 5% has been purchased for real estate development. In addition, there are myriad opportunities for complementary businesses once the region develops. For example, many tour operators have set up shop in Bahia or merged with Bahian operators. Salvador is steadily gaining ground on Rio de Janeiro, historically the point of entry for international visitors to Brazil."
